Umm.... Paul, can you help me out on this one?

Michael, I honestly don't remember, but if Paul doesn't chime in, I'll go back through my checkbook tonight.

Found this from Paul in my archived folder.

The packs retail for $350.00 plus shipping and insurance.

The execution part turned out to be false. Dagg Nabbit!

The cost actually ended up being a hair higher. It was closer to $440, including the messkit. I remember working it out back when I ordered and they were making a very small (couple bucks) profit above what the Village Tinsmith has the messkit listed for. But I think the quality is worth every cent. And I got a small extra item that is also included in that price, but I don't remember what the breakdown is. So you're probably very close.

And can you really make me that tall and thin? I'd settle for the thin part! :D

Recieved my hair covered Knapsack from Paul of ACWK, at Bentonville on the 17th of March. It is marvelous! Workmanship is great! Will post some pics later!

Gentlemen,
I too have purchased a Berdan Knapsack from Paul Lopes at ACW Knapsacks. The quality of materials used and the care taken in the assembly is readily evident. I could not be more pleased. The price was extremely fair in my humble opinion.
Having humped a wood framed standard tarred canvas Jarnigan knapsack for nearly twenty-five years as a Company "B" 20th Maine private, I know the difference between "pain in the ass, or back" and comfortable. Believe me the ACW Berdan Knapsack, once adjusted to my stature, is much more, in the terms of this modern era, "user friendly".
Prior to buying the knapsack I had purchased a pair of ACW's Berdan leggings. It was the quality of the leggings and Paul's first class service that led me to place the knapsack order. I don't know how a person could be more sincere in his efforts to give good customer service than Paul. His has a very skilled team turning out his products and they obviously take a lot of pride in their work.

Just ordered a pack from Paul at acwknapsacks.com. I cannot wait until it gets here. A Packer pack seemed to be a item I could never be able to afford nor find, unless he does get out some new ones..which he stated he may. SO....after reviews I went with what I could find and afford. CANNOT wait to see this!! I think it will be the best $375 I have spent on my kit.

I hate to drop this on you, but Frank has said that he is starting a short run to test interest over here. Exchange rates and shipping from Europe do make it a bit more pricey , but I have every hope that it will be worth both the wait and the extra investment.
