Photos of the leggins are on their website:

http://acwknapsacks.com/Accessories.html

Looks like the same leggins that Dixie leather works offer, item 508B. Dixie Leather Works web site is:

Images of the Berdan Pack aren't up yet.

Any idea of what the price will be for the pack?

Any updates? It's been nearly 2 months; how are the packs coming along?

Friday I had an email from Paul Lopes that mine would ship today (Monday). They had an issue with some of the hardware being on back order from the supplier. While I've not had a chance to examine an original or a Packer made pack, I'm impressed with the photos ACWK provided. The quality on their Berdan's gaiters was also top notch.

Calum,

I'm sure that there are a lot of us eagerly awaiting a report once you get the pack.

The nice UPS man just left, and all I can say is WOW! This thing is beautiful! :D The attention to detail is incredible (and only what I expected after seeing the quality of their gaiters)! A co-worker came in while I was petting it, looked at me and left, so I'm expecting the guys in the white jackets any time...

I ordered a combo, including the mess kit (done by Dixie Tinworks, and also fantastic quality). The mess tin came a couple weeks ago and is at home, but I don't doubt that the straps will hold it perfectly. And I had no clue that they made Ziploc bags this big, but it came very well packed in one in the box.

I haven't figured out how to post photos to the board yet, but if you would like me to email them to you, drop me an email to calum1861@verizon.net. I can forward the original advertising photos they sent me or this weekend I'll have to kit up and having my wife take some photos of me. Is it campaign season yet? Paul also included some completed photos that may be different than the advertising photos.

The pack is slightly larger than the originals (I understand the Frank Packer packs area also). Rough measurements of the completed pack are 14" broad, 17 1/2" deep and 6" wide at the top, 6 3/4" at the bottom. Straps are about the same measurements as on the diagram that Mr Rider published under the images portion of this topic. The measurements are rough as I cannot locate my good tape measure, and the ruler that I used has been chewed upon in the past...

It is very well constructed. The shoulder straps are going to take a little playing around to get adjusted, but even without the belt hooks on my belt, it was very comfortable going from the office to the parking garage.

Michael,

Emails sent (had to split them up due to size limits on outgoing emails). I didn't realize it until I got home and saw the photos that it needed to sit a bit higher, but it's very comfortable even sitting low. The messkit is from the Village Tinsmith, and was ordered through ACWK at the same time as the pack. The gaiters I'm wearing are their make also.

My wife (the photographer) and I spent probably an hour trapsing around the gun club that I belong to, and absolutely no issues. I've not had the opportunity to do a longer march with it. Come May, my mess is planning on doing about a 6 mile march at Gettysburg tracing the later part of the 2nd USSS route to Little Roundtop in full gear. That will probably be the first extensive trial for it.

If you're going to be in Gettysburg for Reenactor Appreciation, I'm more than willing to bring it there and let you crawl all through it. The workmanship is first rate.

I got the photos! Thanks! I'll post them here in the next couple of days. They have to be loaded to a sight like "Image cave" them link set up to them there. It easy just takes time.

What is the cost of the pack?
