Fellow Sharpshooters,

This morning I discovered an image posted by one of the contributors to the Civil War Forum of Thomas Carey of Company B, 1st USSS. Very clear and crisp image of Carey, the buttons on his regulation uniform coat have been tinted gold, as was common practice for photo artists or family members. I'm currently unable to pull up Carey's muster roll information to add any additional details on his service with the regiment. Thomas Carey was killed in action at Wapping Heights, the last major skirmish of the Gettysburg campaign.
