Fellow Sharpshooters,

I just received a complete set (minus the bayonet scabbard) of US Leathers from Missouri Boot & Shoe. They are simple the best I think and with quick turn around time (about 5 weeks) and you can't beat the price. I paid $234 for a C.S. Storms contract Cartridge Box with box plate (with makers mark), cartridge box strap, early war front shield cap pouch, and an early war belt with buckle. Nice smooth inside leather so it doesn't wear out the uniform (thanks for that information Charles) and got the waxed flesh outside.

The only thing that I'm unhappy with is that the pasteboard boxes don't fit into the tins :( So I might have to try Bill's other method of hand making them without the jewelry boxes. Just more work to do at a hobby that never stops giving...lol
