| Post subject: | Sharpshooter Glasses |
I know that glasses are more of a personal item but there isn't a personal item page. I see these "Sharpshooter" glasses all the time on ebay and at gun shows. The ones that have amber glass thas frosted with the centre clear. I understand the concept and thought about getting a pair, but not having of read about soldiers in the Berdan Sharpshooter wearing them. I didn't know if it would be acceptable to wear them. Can anyone shed some light on this subject? |

I seem to recall Tom Slusser having a set in his target rifle case that gets put out for display. I do not know if anyone else carries any but I have never seen anyone where them on the field. |

Can anyone shed some light on this subject? My understanding was, they were a civilian item that have been linked with the Heavy Target Rifle. They may or may not have seen service in the field. |
