'morning folks,
Sorry, I originally accidentally stuck this in the "descendents" folder and now I can't delete it from there.
I have a mourning cockade for Casper Trepp. I've worn it on non-military/military without kit occasions, but this year at the Gettysburg Remembrance Day parade, I'll be marching with my USSS company. Which means leathers and haversack. I'd like to wear it, but am concerned about damaging it.
I've not been able to find period photos showing men in kit with cockades (admittedly, my search skills stink). The GAR ones that I've found do not include kit. Does anyone know, is it acceptable to wear pinned to the side of the forage cap?
Thanks, Mike
