Dave,
Thank you for your effort in re-establishing this most informative website. I look forward to learning more from everyone and I hope to be able to share some of the Co. D 2nd USSS information to which I have access. It was a real treat for me to return from my last voyage and find you have once again "hit the deck running".
Warmest personal regards,

Hi!

Just thought I would check in and see what has been happening in the Berdan community since my long absence.

Congratulations on a very good-looking site, which will hopefully bring a lot of people and information together to help everyones impression.

Sincerely,

Frank Packer

Frank: Where are you currently living? Still over seas? Are you still involved in making any packpacks? I have the 3rd Berdan backpack you made and it is wearing very well.

hope all is well.

I'm the newest addition to this site and wanted to say "Hello" to all.
I look forward to learning more about the U.S.S.S. as well as possibly pick up a few items for my small Berdan's Sharpshooters collection.

Hello to the board,

I was on the old board briefly before it went down, so my thirst for knowledge has only just been wetted! Glad the board is back up, and glad to be a part of it!

I have been reeacting CW since 1990, it was my gateway drug to reeancting as it were. Got a Berdan kit together in late 2005 and have been doing that since! I love it!

Currently I am part of a small Berdan outfit in NW Indiana, we are portraying Co. F of the 1st. It sure will be nice to get in touch with other greenies and find out what events are the ones to go to! Since there is a bit of a Western theater bias in our area and the greencoats can be looked down on from time to time.
