Hello from the birth state of the Sharps rifle. I'm a long time history buff, shooter and fan of the Sharps rifle. I've recently joined the 11th Regiment Co. A of the Conn. Volunteers Infantry, http://www.11thcvi.org. During the 11th service in the "unpleasantries between the states" Companies A and B were fully outfitted with sharps rifles, the other companies had a sprinkling of sharps.

So, this new hobby gives me an great excuses to purchase a Sharps 1863 rifle, which I have always had an itch for.

I've also started exploring joining an USSS unit. The wife says the green uniforms are very handsome, and we all have to do what we can, to keep the ladies morale up on the home front.
