Post subject:  Fresh Fish or Veteran Volunteer? Chip Knappenberger

I wish to introduce myself. My name is Clifford "Chip" Knappenbeger from Jim Thorpe, PA. I was a reenactor back in the 1990s and started out with the 42nd Pennsylvania Bucktails, Company B. I was part of that group until after the 135th Gettysburg reenactment and then became interested in the USSS. I got involved with the Berdan Sharpshooter Preservation Assaociation to raise money for the damaged Gettysburg Vermont USSS, CO. F, monument in Pitzer's woods, and started attending BSPA living history events to raise money with Tom Winter, Co B, USSS. I also helped write and produce the BSPA Newsletter for awhile entitled "The Breechloader Report". Around this same time I had the honor and privilege to be accepted as a member of the 2nd USSS, Company C and was a member until after the Remembrance Day event in 2001.
For many years,I longed to return to Co C, but am now only able to do so. I am presently rereading all of my Berdan's Sharpshooters books and replacing gear I have parted with in the past, but hope to put it all together to fall back in the ranks at the Pitzer's Woods event in September.
I need to replace my Berdan Pack, mess kit, gaiters, cap pouch, cartridge Box, belt, uniform, and tent, so if anyone has any for sale, I would be interested.
I look forward to seeing you.
