Sir, Congratulations on your purchase. Mike used to live in Elk Rapids, a town just north of us here in Traverse City. He was instrumental in reactivating the 'Lakeshore Tigers' of Co. 'A' 26th Michigan-(a reenacting/living history unit that did presentations at the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and other events in NW Michigan) the largest single contingent of men from the Grand Traverse region to serve in the War. Mike has since moved back to Cherry Valley, New York. I haven't heard if he has started to make caps again; but his materials and workmanship is superior to the majority of cap makers out there.
