Fellow Sharpshooters

I wanted to add to the previous post comparing the 2 bayonets issued with the USSS Sharps rifles:

Face Fuller: 17.4”
Bore size: .817”
Socket Length: 3”
Neck Length: 1.2”

Collins Company
Blade: 18” by 0.805
Face Fuller: 17”
Bore Size: .820”
Socket Length: 3”
Neck Length: 1.0”
Marks: ‘C&Co.’ No “US” on blade; ‘M’ inspectors stamp on top shank at socket.

This information can be found on page 336 of Sharps Firearms-The Percussion Era.
