Mr. Rider,
It is good to see the forum back up! I look forward to using it to increase the authenticity of my impression and growing in my understanding of the sharpshooters from a historical perspective. Thanks for doing all of the work this must have involved. :)

Mr. Anthony,
Is that an early or late war uniform in your avatar? ;)

David,

Thank you for getting the forum up the running again. Almost every day since the last one was down I'd check it just in case it was back up. I look forward to sharing research and stories from my adventures in USSS studies and reenacting!

Hi David,
Thanks for the welcome.
The club our unit is a member of is planning an "International" event in 2010 over here in the UK. We have been authorised to extend an invitation to any groups associated to our own units to attend.
As you will imagine, the event is in the planning stages. The reason the invitations are being offered so early is to give people plenty of time to gauge the costs involved, due to the current economic climate.

If any of your members are interested, please let me know on the following email address officer@ussharpshooters.co.uk

Regards,

Dave Parkin(Capt)

Greetings David and USSS comrades.

Like my comrade Brian White, I waited patiently for the Co. C. Forum to reemerge from the crash of 07. I am very pleased to find the forum has not only returned, but looks even better than the original. I'd like to give a 'tip of the cap' to Moderator Dave Rider, who spent untold hours rebuilding the site. The Co. C. Forum, in my opinion, is the finest venue for USSS enthusiasts to pose inquiries, share original research and obtain 'from the field' technical information about sharpshooter uniforms, weapons and equipment that no other Civil War forum can even begin to answer.

I look forward to reading and contributing to the Forum in the days ahead.
